Which Battleplan is this?

This site covers Steam app 3743140, the World War II game developed by Foolish Mortals Games Inc. and published by Slitherine Ltd. It is set on the Western Front from 1944 onward. It is not a guide to another game with a similar name.

Steam lists October 12, 2026 as the release date. Slitherine’s product page lists one player. Its October 2 launch briefing specifies 11 historical campaign missions, from D-Day to Operation Varsity, plus two tutorial levels. The broader product description says “10+” historical battles; those statements are compatible, but the dated launch briefing is more precise.

Source caveats: “GTX 1040 3 GB” is the literal published GPU string, not a model we independently verified. Ask the publisher if you need clarification; do not silently interpret it as another card. Slitherine also lists legacy Windows 7/8.1, while the current Steam listing specifies Windows 10/11. Use the Steam listing for a Steam purchase and confirm older-OS support with the publisher.

Meeting these requirements is not a measured frame-rate guarantee. We have not benchmarked the game on any hardware, nor verified native macOS, Linux or Steam Deck support.

Campaign, control and the demo

The launch briefing describes a persistent single-player army, recruitable officers, unlockable historical units and consequences carried between battles. The main campaign is Allied; Slitherine’s product page says individual scenarios can also allow the German side. This does not imply multiplayer.

The released version adds Zone Orders, expands the Army Constructor and improves AI, tactical systems and quality-of-life features from the demo. Steam Cloud, Steam Achievements and Veteran difficulty are listed in the launch briefing. For an introduction to the command model, read formations and orders.
